Myles Martel, Ph.D.
Myles Martel, Ph.D.,
President of Martel & Associates, is one of the worlds premier leadership communication advisors. For over 30 years, hundreds of business professionals and political leaders from more than 40 nations have relied on his counsel for communication planning and strategy, and for such high-stakes challenges as major presentations, speeches, testimony, media appearances and crises.
Martel came to national prominence as Ronald Reagans personal debate advisor, and then served as advisor to the White House Office of Communications. In 1984 and 1988, he was Ambassador Jeane Kirkpatricks advisor for her addresses before the Republican National Convention. In addition, he has counseled scores of United States Senators, Congressmen and Governors and other political figures on leadership communication strategy, media techniques, debates and speeches.
He has appeared on numerous television and radio talk shows, including ABCs "World News Tonight", "CBS This Morning" and "Nightline" with Ted Koppel. His work has been quoted extensively in numerous prominent publications, including The Wall Street Journal, Harpers, U.S. News and World Report, USA Today and The New York Times. This hands on experience adds valuable perspective to his media counsel. In the past two elections he has served on USA Today’s presidential debates experts panel.

Martel is a recipient of the George Washington Honor Medal from the Freedoms Foundation and the University of Connecticuts Distinguished Alumni Award for Outstanding Professional Achievement.
He serves on the University's
Alumni Board of Directors. He delivered the Andrew W. Mellon Fund Lecture at Oxford University. A member of the Board of Visitors of the Temple University School of Communications and Theatre, he was inducted into its Hall of Fame in 2001.
Aram A. Aghazarian, Ph.D.
Aram Aghazarian, Senior Vice President and Managing Director, is a specialist in issues management, message strategy development and delivery. He provides leadership communication, presentations, public
speaking and Q&A counsel to leaders in one-on-one and seminar settings. His experience includes advising communicators in such diverse fields as pharmaceuticals, financial services, food production, data processing, chemicals, public utilities, healthcare and international banking.
Aghazarians expertise in persuasion and message analysis is applied to a variety of communication challenges, e.g. financial analyst meetings, initial public offerings, spin-offs, product launches, motivational and sales presentations, litigation support, crisis situations and regulatory hearings.
Aghazarian has served since 1965 as faculty member and has chaired the Department of Rhetoric and Communication at Temple University. He has taught courses in public speaking, persuasion, business and professional communication, interpersonal communication, speech criticism and political communication.
Aghazarians book Form, Genre and the Study of Political Discourse (with H.W. Simons) is quoted widely. He has been interviewed by the media during presidential debates and in addition to advising business leaders, has provided message and delivery counsel for political candidates.
He has served on the Editorial Boards of Communication Quarterly and Communication Education, and has been a reviewer for Critical Studies in Mass Communication. He holds a Ph.D. in Speech Communication from the University of Illinois.
Priscilla J. Murphy, Ph.D.
Dr. Priscilla Murphy is a specialist in crisis communications and issues management. She has particular expertise in media strategy media relations, marketing public relations, financial public relations, spokesperson training, and government and industry issues tracking.
For the past 10 years, Dr. Murphy has taught courses in crisis communication, media relations, campaign planning, and professional communication. As a faculty member at Temple University, she has directed both the master of journalism program and the doctoral program in mass media and communication. She has also taught in the accreditation-training program for the Public Relations Society of America.
Before entering university teaching, she was a corporate public relations professional in the securities, insurance, and healthcare financing sectors. She managed all public relations and financial communications for a major international securities firm. A national poll of editors and journalists recognized her company for "Best Financial Services Public Relations."
Widely published in the areas of strategic media relations, activist groups, and environmentalism, Dr. Murphy serves on the editorial board of the Journal of Public Relations Research. She holds a BA. from Smith College and a Ph.D. from Brown University.
Carol M. Rosenbaum
Carol M. Rosenbaum is a specialist in media and communication, with over 30 years as a TV journalist, documentary writer/producer and college teacher.
She has extensive experience in television news, serving for five years as Executive Producer for News Series at an ABC TV affiliate. Her journalism skills won her the coveted Robert F. Kennedy National Journalism Award for best television news series. The investigative news documentaries she wrote and produced for ABC also won top national and regional honors.
In addition to her consulting affiliation with Martel & Associates, Carol heads a media company that creates compelling training and informational programs - from script to screen - for the government, corporations and television. Her incisive writing and dynamic style have won ten national first-place awards for such clients as GlaxoSmithKline, Quest Diagnostics, the American Bar Association, Ernst & Young, LLP and NBC TV.
Throughout her career, Carol has coached professionals from the business, medical, legal
and broadcast fields for on-camera appearances and media interviews. She has also developed expertise in e-media coaching, preparing speakers for teleconferences and webcasts.
For thirteen years, Carol taught communications on the college level, including courses in Public Speaking, Business Writing, English Composition and Video Production. She holds an A.B. from Smith College and an M.A. in English from the University of Pennsylvania. She completed additional graduate work in CinemaStudies/Film Production at UCLA.
Lauren Cotter Brobson
Lauren Cotter Brobson brings to the Martel team nearly 15 years of experience as a presentations and media strategist for leaders in the private and public sectors. Clients seek out her expertise on media relations, speeches and presentations, and her skills as a professional writer. Lauren is adept at translating complex issues into well-defined, grassroots and consumer-oriented messages. She is the author of a monthly column for B2B Magazine and has written several articles for Tech Talk and Project Oscar magazines. She has also written and produced several multi-media and video presentations on workforce development and corporate site selection for regional economic development organizations.
Lauren served as a senior level communications strategist and chief speechwriter for former Pennsylvania Governor Tom Ridge, and Director of Communications for the Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development.
She has written hundreds of speeches on a wide range of issues, including substantive policy addresses, media statements,
ceremonial and political remarks. Her portfolio also includes opinion-editorials, video presentations, magazine articles, news
releases, broadcast advertising and collateral materials. Working with businesses and economic development issues were Lauren's main focus at Pennsylvania's Department of Economic and Community Development (DCED). There she created a communication strategy to advance the commonwealth's national and international reputation in economic development, community renewal and tourism.
Lauren earned her B.A. from The George Washington University.
